Newmar just emailed me a cash incentive program for 2011 Essex. I explain the program in my blog. Lee Litchfield Blog

I remember getting something for the 2009 Model year. Should we expect a mailer or is this only through the dealers? I think the last time a mailer included brochures. If you want to order one you will need to see some colors and graphic designs.
Thanks for the info, Daryl

Lee, I think you're right about the fence-sitters having extra incentive to complete a deal. My questions: has Newmar made the Mountain Aire so nice, and the Essex so expensive, that it has sent too many into the MADP?; also, why have Tiffin sales taken off in such a manner that they have a 16-20 week delay in ordering, and dealers with nothing on their lots? I heard this from a dealer who had zero Tiffins, but Bob Tiffin had recently visited and apologized for the delay-he told them that orders were backed up as he never saw them before. I also understand they are recruiting workers for an extra shift.

I think they down graded the Mountain Aire. They put the ugraded things such as Girad and Power shades but put it on a Freightliner chassis with a Isl motor. After having the K2 with the ISM I don't think many will go backward to the 2011 Mountain Aire and since it applies to current owners they are hoping Tiffin will not be an issue. If this has to get done in March I hope to get Info soon. The Essex is expensive though.

For those wondering about higher than normal backlogs of orders, the answer may be the supply chain. Getting all the parts for more coaches than suppliers were told to produce for sends ripples, in the supply chain all the way back to raw materials.
For those sitting on the fence, now may really the time to buy. As coach manufacturers receive more orders they will hire additional assembly workers. Some of these will be experience workers returning from being laid off. Some will be new hires. For me, I'd rather have my coach made by those who have been continuously employed, know their tasks like the back of their hand and the assembly line has not been turned up a notch or two to produce more coaches per day.

Just as you said, Newmar is using their most experienced workers. However, many manufacturers do exactly the opposite. Most of the best workers are let go because they make more money. Thankfully, Newmar didn't take this narrow-minded approach.
Newmar upped their production to 5 days a week back in December to keep up with demand. They had been 4 days a week for over 3 years. The reason for this is twofold. One, retail sales have been very strong the last 45-60 days. Two, dealer's inventory levels have been extremely low because some floorplan lenders have gone out of the RV market and the ones that stayed have been very tough. The lenders have started loosening up on dealer floorplan lines, so now they can buy stock units. The retail lending is also a lot better. With this program, Newmar hopes to keep up the momentum in retail sales. Lee Litchfield

I don't know of any plans for a mailer. This just targets customers considering an Essex and must be ordered by March 31. I think they did a $5K incentive to Kountry Klub members 3 or 4 years ago, but this is much better!
We should have swatch boards soon. I already have the 2011 MADP. The 2011 Essex has 3 carryover colors--Creme Brulee, Ebony and Zodiac. Lee

The 2011 MADP is 43' and will have the 450 HP Cummins on a Freightliner. It will be about $35K less wholesale than the cost of the 2010 MADP. It will be about $100K more than the DSDP and over $100K less than an Essex.
The new 2011 MADP has proved to be popular so far. We've ordered four 2011 MADP's, three on the Spartan chassis. One sold very quickly after we received it. The second one sold last week and we haven't even received it yet! The third won't hit our lot until May. The 4th will be our first on a Freightliner and won't be here until June. Lee

With two visits to Newmar the past two months I can only say that having my MH worked on by top notch people in the Repair Center , Todd Miller techs and Leander Hochstetter techs were the best they made sure we were well taken care off. Todd also was very accommodating for our stay at the Inn.
The plant was very busy the days we were there and many deliveries were coming in every day. With all this activity hopefully some of the blank tech placates on wall will once again be hung, 7 were laid off.
Dealers here in N.E. lay off their best people which makes for difficulties trying to get something fixed correctly in one visit.
