In the very early stages of shopping for our next one Jigs, and Lise is fully onboard. Probably won't be a 2017 but perhaps 2018 might be the model year.

SWag,

I know you have a 2015 DSDP, but in your opinion do you think it is a difference in noise because of year or a difference in Freightliner versus Spartan? Considering the same generator is used I would hope noise levels would be consistent between the two chassis, even though I also would hope I would not hear the generator much like your '15.

Bill, I don't want to hijack this Hoots thread so suggest someone start a thread related to the differences between the Dutch Star on Freightliner or Spartan chassis. Definitely a worthy discussion now that this model is offered on both chassis.

To answer your question, I can only assume the generator noise is a difference between FL and Spartan and nothing to do with model year. I honestly can't hear the generator start when I'm rolling down the highway in my coach and others have confirmed the same with the DS on a FL chassis.

Canuck53,

I suggest you fly on down to the Hill Country of Texas and join us at Buckhorn. You can drive all the Newmar products to your hearts content and then you'll be hooked and ready to place your order!

SWAG,

Thanks for the invite. I wait for the DVD to come out...I'm sure it will be a great time. Hope to join in a Hoots sometime down the road.

Pre-Hoots Get Together

Hello Fellow Hoots!

Only 24 days to the official kick off of our 4th annual Hoots event. As Deek has recently posted, we have had a few last minute cancellations so can accommodate a few coaches should you be able to fit this into your schedule. If you aren't registered and would like to join us, send me a PM and I'll get you set up.

A few of us Hoots have been enjoying a long weekend together at the Lake Livingston KOA north of Houston. We have enjoyed the company of 2BU Bears, Aggiefan, CapuTech and a few of our Newmar friends who unfortunately won't be able to join us in Kerrville. What a glorious weekend we have had and looking forward to more of the same in a few short weeks at Buckhorn Lake Resort.

Looking forward to seeing everyone soon in Kerrville!

Scott

Duble -oh-seven....the opening get together tonight was great. Lots of food and refreshment and we met some real Hoot characters. It was fun putting a screen name with a face and realize you didn't have a clue what that fellow actually looked like. But the organizers really did yeoman's work, putting every facet of the event together in a professional manner.

Observation from first time Hoots at the end of day two in Kerrville. Linda and I have looked forward to this gathering for some time. Everyone we talked to told us to expect an enjoyable, unique gathering. You do not disappoint. What a fun group and we have just gotten started. Everyone's knowledge about their coaches and their joy of sharing that knowledge, helping in person and on the forum is a benefit not found in other brands.

We are truly happy to be here and wish to thank all who have done such a great job to make it possible. We are so looking forward to the remainder of this rally.
