Now that's a good one. Those must be generic straps then that are used on other brands as well.

Dave, these lanyards are common place at rallies,where you usually wear some sort of "credentials" denoting the group you're attending with.

At the iRV2 rally we will have ID lanyards and ID badge holders with your name and home city and state displayed...

Gotcha, we always called them credential holder straps in the pits at Nascar.
The short ropes on our boat are called lanyards.
