Surprisingly the hood does stop the rain sensor from tripping when taking a shower, at least it did when I fitted mine. I also have a lot of scratches on the hood from low branches in campgrounds, but it is still there.

I agree - what's the point of the screen rolling up? Either you have the solid door shut to hold indoor temp, or you have only screen shut to let in air but not bugs. When and why would you ever roll up the bug screen?

You roll the screen up so that you have a clear view through the window when driving.

My screen is always rolled down. It does not obstruct the view at all. If I rolled it up and down all the time, it would have broken a long time ago

You might want to check the legality of doing that.

Interesting! So, inference is that in some areas you might not be able to have a passenger side top screen door legally. But - isn't that how all old coach screen doors were made?

Now I need to walk around and look!

It seems strange that while you were at the meeting with Newmar management you did not ask the obvious question of why the screen was not fixed. They could have then told you if it was for legal or other reasons.

They were not aware of any issue with the screens. Once brought up they said they will now look into it further to see how it could be improved.

There is NOTHING obvious or common sense to me. I'm a blonde.

I had the screen door included when I had MCD Platinum Duo shades installed on all the windows. The sun screen is attached to the middle of the screen door and pulls up to cover the upper half of the door and the whole window which gives much more privacy and stops the sun's heat. The nite shade pulls down over the door. CHECK MCD's site if you want a better sun screen and shade for your door.

With the Dutch Star becoming more and more luxurious etc, it seems the gap between the Ventana and Dutch Star is becoming wider every year. I have been wondering if this will eventually lead to an addtion to the diesel line (between Ventana and Dutch Star).......similar to the Dutch Aire. Or....add a model to take the Ventana's place and move the Ventana up?

Have any of you thought this also? Has there been any discussion about it?

Like I say, just thinkin'

Regards,
W.D.

I agree also. When they start putting tile on the walls and ceiling, add concrete stairs and countertops, a 3rd bath and a larger fuel tank so you can make it to the next exit at 3 MPG, the 450 won't be enough.

I think it relates to a 40' coach with a BIG engine. In the other direction Alpine Coach once produced a 34' coach with an ISL 425, and that one went ZOOM too.
