SLIDES - full wall slide is best operated when aired up. This is most important when site is not level. This does mean, upon departure, that you will have to start engine, air up, stop engine, and bring in FWS. (If your unit has ignition safety interlock).
Bill (BGDDYRV) put a bug in their ear about changing the safety lockout from ignition (current) to transmission. Might take a while to engineer that, but you heard it here first :-)

ROLL UP DOOR SCREEN - many of us have problems with this screen coming out of track and/or bunching up. Newmar had not been aware of this, but they are now. Resolution TBD.

WINDOWS: They are working on making a couple of windows in versions that will be open-able. Specifically, the bedroom escape window and the window on the bathroom escape door. They also took a note from Bill (BGDDYRV) and may develop another opening window for the main bathroom.

FANTASTIC FAN SENSORS - Newmar is aware that the humidity sensors can shut the covers/fans on us more than we want (when showering, for example). They are working with the Mfg to engineer a switch/setting for that so we can override the humidity (rain sensor) when we wish.

RECLINER FEET- some of us have had issues with the recliner feet bending or damaging the vinyl strip in the tile floor @FWS. Newmar has completed design and prototype for replacement feet that greatly reduce (or eliminate?) the issue. Not yet available to customers. We will keep our eye on this one also.

FIVERS/TT - The question was asked about whether Newmar plans on manufacturing travel trailers or fifth wheels again. ANSWER: NO

INDUSTRY CONSILIDATION - Matt Miller stated that the company currently has no plans to acquire other companies. Also, Newmar itself is not for sale.

MARKET SHARE - Newmar market share grew slightly over the past couple of years. I believe that they said they currently have almost 17% of the DP market.

This is an issue for Dutch Stars. The override works fine on Ventanas. Of course if Newmar put a cover over the fan as standard it wouldn't be an issue.

Yep, the override works well on our Ventana too. I wholeheartedly agree that a stock Fantastic Fan cover over the hatch would make this issue moot.

Kind of off topic......but the coaches are getting so heavy, it's time to step up to the small ISX in the Dutch Star line. I would also like to see them offer a MountainAire in a 40' coach. Once you leave the Dutch Star line, everything is 45'. I think there would be quite a market for 40 footers in the higher end models with bigger motors.....I would buy one.
