HAs anyone else had problems with peeling paint on their Newmar. We have a 2007 Kountry Star and paint is peeling on outside bottom of door. IT looks really bad and is getting worse. Called dealer where purchased and emailed pictures to them. They sent them on to Newmar but they refuse to help. Said warranty up in Dec. 2009. I thought they would stand behind there product better than that, since it is so close to warranty expiration.

Please let me know if anyone has any paint problems and if they were able to get help from Newmar. Thanks

This doesn't sound like Newmar. They have bent over backwards on a lot of issues for their customers, especially paint. I'm not sure who your dealer is but I would contact Newmar direct and try to get them to look at it. It would be worth a drive to Nappannee.

Talked to Newmar today and all they offered to do is for us to come to corporate headquarters and they would discount the labor on the job, but nothing else. Since we live in NC the trip would cost us quite a bit of money in gas to go all the way to Indiana. Thanks for replying.

It is truly amazing what the current economy has done to change attitudes. One of the ways Newmar grew in popularity over the years was taking care of issues such as this. Just yesterday I posted comments about Bob Tiffin, and how his attitude is helping his company have a miraculous recovery in these troubled times. Go figure!

I would call Newmar again...if you get the same response ask to speak to the supervisor. Sometimes the person who answers the phone does not have the authority to deviate from written policy.

Ask for Ron Weaver. He's in charge of service and he has the authority to authorize "goodwill" work if he feels it is warranted.
