The 770 has been fantastic other than within yellowstone, both Clarion and Garmin wanted to route me around yellowstone, paper directions were key there and also proved having paper backup is good for directions.
Clarion has a truck version.

Long thread about it here:http://www.irv2.com/forums/f103/clar...ps-318752.html

I was going to spend the money but decided on the copilot RV app instead. So far so good. If that doesn't work I'll get the Garmin. Wife HATES extra stuff on the dash so we are trying the app with an iPad. If that works we'll hang the iPad from the TV.

Back on topic-complain to Newmar. I attended Camp FL recently and the impression I got is coach builders can option the same chassis differently. For example I was the only Newmar owner in the class and even though others had the same chassis I was the only one with three stage engine brake.

Remember that tooling costs for a new steering wheel runs into a high 5 figures. Who pays that tooling cost up front? That's the people you need to convince that a new wheel will be worth it. The car people get those features because they can spread the tooling cost across a lot of customers so it isn't felt as badly.

If you think a new wheel is a really, really good idea and can't convince others to make it, you are free to start a company and make it yourself. If the market agrees it's a good idea, you'll get rich.
