Newmar, please make a coach like this.

Would you be interested in a coach based on this platform if Newmar made it?

Not a chance. I have enough problems with proven technology let alone new technology.
Don't get me wrong I like technology but only after the bugs are worked out. Besides, 500 miles is not great and it's probably very expensive.

No way. I would not even want a post 2008 coach over our 2004 MADP. I prefer simpler, proven technology.

Me too. Many times I wish I still had the technology of my previous 2004 instead of what's in this 2015 DS, which is way over my head now.

I'd be the first in line for a Tesla based RV. But, that's still a long way out:-)

By the time this one hits the road I won't be in the market for anything on wheels other than a wooden box so the answer is no.

0-60 under 5 seconds might be a little hard on tires. I'd also hate to leave a cabinet unlatched. You could end up with the galley in the bedroom.

Once proven by hundreds of thousands of miles in trucks, and the price of the chassis is where someone other than Tesla can afford it, then perhaps Newell or Prevost will make one.

You could probably get the diesel generator option to charge the batteries while underway.

So agree!! Our 2003 Dutch Star has been So problem free! Watched friends with their 2016 ??????!, fight a continuous litany of problems that due to lack of qualified techs they are still fighting. When raising/lowering your shades requires a tablet, and troubleshooting them a tech with a tablet, I’m out!!

But the point is electric propulsion is MUCH simpler than current gas or diesel drivetrains. Less to go wrong. NO Air/gas/diesel filters to clog or change. NO radiator, coolant or hoses to leak. NO fan or belts to break. NO Transmission to leak fluid or break either!
