Newmar Safety Recall

Received a Newmar Safety Recall notice today: "On certain motorhomes, the bedroom fascia header has potential to fall unexpectedly on top of the bed mattress. This has potential to cause harm/injury if a person is on the bed mattress."

Workmanship? Or product design?

I'd guess they have had more than one real incident, which has prompted this recall.

They didn't specify model or year. The letter was addressed based on my specific VIN number.

My coach was built in January 2019.

Ah okay, so if I didn't get a letter, that means my coach is not impacted. Whew, thank!

The link below has the recall details, to include a list of affected units (by VIN and production number) and the repair procedure.

Thanks flyboy013 for link, I have added to other RECALLS in this sticky, near bottom of sticky, people should be checking their TSB's in COM_NET to make sure they are up to date.
