Newmar/Spartan The Best!

I gotta' say, you get a lot when you buy a Newmar on a Spartan.

A week ago I encountered an issue with my ignition switch. I called North Trail first to see if they carried this assembly. No!
I called Newmar and was immediately advised that it was a Spartan part.

I then called Spartan. No problem. Using the last 5 digits of the VIN they advised me that both the electrical module and the lock assembly were in stock. They were like $30+ for the electric module and $20 some for the lock assembly. Great, send them.

I received them next day. Dead on the right stuff. I changed them out and all is good.

On a separate issue, I e-mailed Spartan today. 40 minutes later I got a call from Mike at Spartan. He was very tech savvy and helped big time. Wow!!!

I feel so lucky to have bought a product that is backed up so well. This is in contrast to many other makes that have very poor support.

Spartan Chassis is the best!

Yep, we're on our second Newmar. Old club we belonged to had 12 motorhomes, of these six were Newmars and one was a Prevost. MY parents had a Foretravel so when we started looking for the DP we already had a head start on what brand we wanted.

I am surprised the ignition switch is Spartan! Me would have thunk it was Newmar. ;-)

Kudos to Spartan as well... I had a Hadley SLS air control valve solenoid fail. Couldn't move the rig as only three corners had air. It was during the period of time these solenoids were "out of production." Spartan kept at Hadley until Hadley found their last one buried in inventory. Then, Hadley boo-boo'd and didn't send it overnight/Saturday delivery meaning I was blocking a CG main driveway all weekend. Hadley couldn't get it back from Fed-Ex to fix the delivery.

When we discovered that error around 4pm on that Friday, Spartan furiously went rummaging through their stores/desks/trash looking for any SLS assembly they could find in time to make their 6pm Fed-Ex. Turns out there was one SLS assembly in all of Charlotte that was used for training stashed in an abandoned desk drawer. Spartan removed 2 solenoids (heck, these were "used" they figured) and properly Fed-Ex'd them to me.

All of this totally comped - even though I was several months out of warranty. Now that's service!

BTW - I now have 2 of those solenoids in my personal inventory (the new one from Hadley and the extra one from Spartan).
