I've looked at the SOLD RV's on PPL many times. Unless I'm missing something, it looks like they have changed the website and it no longer shows the selling price.

Just checked myself. You may be right. Maybe they want you to call now to get the pricing. I’ll check with them next week. If this resource is gone, that would be sad.

I didn't realize that was available. I have looked many times at their For Sale units, but never realized they keep a list of the units sold. Unfortunately, they don't show any prices now.

I checked again and the text on the top of the page says to click on the RV type below to review prices of sold units. But now, when you do that, it brings up a very detailed description of each unit sold but in the Price box, it just says SOLD. Not helpful.

They are closed until next Tuesday, but I’m going to call them at that time and ask what the deal is on not showing sold prices.

Just a little comment on the used units at PPL in Houston. I bought a new roof air unit from them and had it installed by them and while waiting I toured all of the used units for sale on their lot. Regardless of price, I would not have bought any of them because of their condition. Most of the interiors were very dirty. I can't speak to the mechanicals, but the interiors are usually a bit of a clue. The previous comments about a lot of the inventory being consignments or foreclosures rings true for me based on the condition of the units I saw. Just keep that in mind when you are using PPL sold prices as a basis for comparison. I would think they would be in the lower range of pricing for whatever age motorhome. I'm not criticizing PPL, just letting you know that the units for sale there that I saw were a little ragged.

From what I gather PPL does not clean up or repair any units until they have are sold.

FWIW, PPL advertises a “free” coach clean-up/detailing (“value $400!) for anybody who consigns their unit for sale.

If there are shabby units on the lot, maybe those are repos or just particularly poor units.

I’ve never bought or sold an RV through PPL, but I have several friends who have been buyers or sellers or both, and I’ve never met anyone with first-hand experience who hasn’t had good things to say about PPL’s operation.

When, on occasion, I’ve looked at PPL coach inventory I’ve found the condition of the interiors to be acceptable, if not outstanding.

If you happen to own a “cupcake” in perfect shape, garage kept that you are ready to unload you can probably move it more profitably than doing a consignment with PPL or any similar outfit.

I notice our local Camping World advertises “free consignments”. I wonder how that works and if anybody has gone that route. Perhaps someone could start a new thread on consignment experiences.
