Newmar warrantee

On another Newmar forum, it was revealed that a letter was received by the poster, from Newmar Corporation, stating that any Newmar product, new or used, sold by a non-Newmar dealer, will not be covered by the Newmar warrantee. this would include bankrupt dealers, bank repos, and the like. Sounds strange to me, as I would think if the mileage/time constraints were within the parameters of the warrantee, then it would be kosher....guess not!

Could be Newmar doesn't feel they should have to do repairs because of trashed MH's by people who may take items out before repo or things stolen by other parties during the selling period.

Our Mtn Aire was a 2 year old repo'ed unit when we bought it - from a non-Newmar dealer.

I registered it with Newmar and they advised that I was covered by the balance of the three year warranty and I did not even know it existed!

Never had a major issue, but there were a few minor things that our local Newmar dealer repaired under warranty.
