Newmar Wiper Problems
I am working on a friends 2003 Newmar gas Kountry Star. If you turn the ignition on the wiper are on. He has low, high and the washers work. No intermittent mode. No Off mode. He said it blow a couple of fuses on that curcuit after he got it out of storage so he lubed everything up and the wipers started working and they just won't quit. I checking the wiring that I could trace and everything looks good. Any help is welcome on this. Is it that he may have melted the switch contacts?

I just rewired mine today. I have a thread in the Newmar section on this and found that the connector used to attach the wiper motor to the chassis wiring is lacking and very sensitive to water and the resulting shorting. I cut out the connector one wire at a time and crimped the wires together then used heat sealing shrink tube so they are water tight.

I'll be very interested to hear if that fixed the problem for good.

We are leaving for our spring trip soon and if the weather doesn't change it will be a pretty good test for the wipers.

Not sure what wiper motor you have but many have the "park" circuit inside the motor housing. It's the circuit that shuts off the motor after the blades have returned to the "park position".

Exactly what I've been thinking. I'm just not sure the connector is the real issue.

Well, my connector was hanging in the breeze with fully exposed connections. It was packed with so much electrical grease that the spade fittings would easily fall off the lugs. I think the previous owner had issues with it and whoever fixed it replaced the motor and packed the connection with grease. I am hoping this fixed it, but if not it was something that definitely needed correction. Last time it wasn't just a parking issue, I had no control of the wipers at all. Not a good situation on the highway.
Not sure how to proceed if it's the motor, maybe some shielding? Wonder of that spray rubber sealer I keep seeing on TV would seal up the motor.

Just thought I would update. Just drove two days in rain and not a single wiper issue (knock on wood).

Glad to hear that. Maybe the connector really is the issue.

I also routed the wires as high as possible, not sure if that helped but there is plenty of wire length available to get it out from behind the grill.

I was surprised at how much water goes everywhere. I added a weatherstrip to the top edge of the hood to close that gap. After I drove through a hard rain I stopped and took a look. Water was everywhere under the hood. It just blows everywhere, even up and on the wiper motor itself. I was just a little surprised to see so much so high. Glad you got yours under control.
