These things are not built to replace DP's camping and full timing. They are fancy work trucks for people pulling big trailers and using them as motel rooms at events like racing, horse shows, tractor shows etc. Not sure how Newmar will do but there is a pretty good market for them with companies like Renegade,Showhauler,United,Jayco and Haulmark.
They sure will not get anywhere close to DP production if they take off at all.
Personally I was disappointed to see the Supreme on the M2 chassis. That truck needed a facelift 5 years ago.

When we purchased our Renegade there were four things that swayed us to a Super C over a Class A.

First was safety. We just felt better knowing there was a motor weighing several thousand pounds in front of us.

Second was driveability. It’s like driving my Denali 2500 HD only longer and heavier. If you haven’t driven a Super C you don’t know what you are missing.

Third was the fact that my wife is sitting right next to me making it easier to carry on a conversation and help with navigation.

Fourth was the maintenance aspect. Its just easier with the motor up front and most every town has a Freightliner Service Center near by.

Where I think Newmar missed the mark here is not going with the Cascadia Chassis which is much more comfortable, and people will expect, at this price point over the M2 Chassis.

This is true. And the response about servicing the engine is a good reason to like them.

Haven't driven one obviously but the cab has its own air suspension, a feature they say no other super C on the market has. So that with air seats should make for a pretty comfortable ride.

Obviously not for everybody but if your pulling a big stacker with two race cars and a mobile shop, or whatever, it would be attractive. If I was in the market for a super c Id certainly check these out, the Super Star tag version, not the Supreme with dual drivers, but Im fine with a class a for my needs.

Not sure why I still respond to these off topic rhetoricals...

It could certainly be about anything you wanted and could afford. It obviously made sense to Newmar. Maybe it will be short lived like the Dutch Aire, but maybe not. Either way I think Newmar can afford to find out especially with Winnebago’s backing.

Are both rear axles drive axles? I think I read that somewhere and it was implied here. Is there a short drivetrain between the rear axles? I would think that would hurt the MPG rating?

Totally agree, those are several of our reasons also. I would add that you can get service ANYWHERE/ANYTIME it's not necessary to go to a Freightliner dealer for 99% of service issues.

We get 8.5-10 MPG depending on grade/wind.

We don't notice the 10,000 trailer behind us.

Maintaining 65 MPH on 5% grade is awesome.

Yeah, I checked out the chassis - two sets of drivers, 10 wheels.

Is there any "organization" that has defined Super C?

Thought is might be the manufacture. Newmar has take a bold step and defined both their coaches as Super C coaches. This is in online literature as well as their brochures. Went to the Renegade website. They have not done this. Looked through the general information part of their website and every brochure. For me I would not know what class of coach they are selling or think they are making. Just and example.
