I have Automotion shades on my 2017LADP. when attempting to operate the bathroom night shade, it will move about 2" up or down and stop. One of the night shades in the LR is in the down position and does not respond at all to the up/down switch. Any ideas? Thanks

Time to replace the motors. I have had 5 replaced so far. Seems they have all been night shades. The motor is fine it is the electronics that are part of the motor that go out. I even keep a spare motor with me in case one goes out. If you pull on the shade and at the same time operate the switch over and over again sometimes it starts going again for a short while, but it will stop again just maybe in a better position.

Same here. I have had 7 replaced, most were night shades but a few were day shades. These Automotion shades are really disappointing.

AutoMotion only sells to the manufactures so you by from Newmar. There are generic motors sold that can be found here but theirs takes a lot of work it make them fit.

If you look at Automotion's website, they list their authorized installers. In used Classic Coach Works because they are close to me.

I have a factory appointment on 4/22/19 with one nite shade replacement on the list. I just added a second to the list. At this rate it won't be long before all nite shades that are not ignition controlled will have been replaced. Newmar has been using Automotion shades for a long time. It would seem they could lean on Automotion to improve the wiring controller on the motor.
