No brake lights from plug to toad?
All of a sudden I seem to have lost brake/turning signals to my toad. After a lot of testing I have determined there is no power from the plug on the coach. There is power coming through on the running lights but nothing else. I am thinking fuses and have checked a few but the location of the fuse boxes is very difficult to access. Anyone have any helpful suggestions? Since all the wiring seems good and intact I figure it must be a fuse?

the connector is round plug that converts to the flat 4 prong plug. I bought a new plug with LED indicator lights so i know the plug is not a problem as i can still only get running lights

Check the connections within the seven pin power cord. I had two wires pull loose inside the actual seven pin plug causing loss of turn and stop lights on one side of road.

Is your Scottsdale built on a Ford or Workhorse chassis?

I did just take the plug apart and all connections look clean and good. It is interesting that all the wires are the same color! White. No color coded wires here...

There's a Ford fuse panel under the dash, usually to the left of the steering column. Fuse #22 supplies power to the trailer left- and right-turn/stop relays. It's a 20A fuse. Replace it with a known-OK 20A fuse and see if that fixes the problem.

I LOVE YOU MAN!!! That was it! It is SOOO hard to angle ones body in front of the seat to get to the panel, but i did it - good thing i am slim. THANK YOU. Because that panel is so ridiculously difficult to get to, over the years I have been replacing the fuses with the ones that light up when they go kapputt. This was one that i had not done - thanks again to all!

Isn't it great when things finally go right? And, this forum has a lot of talented people who can help make that happen.
Glad you got the brake and signal lights working again.
