My Dash Air went out on my DSDP and the problem was that the thermocouple into the Evans Temp condersor housing broke off at the thermostat. I ordered a new part from Newmar and have received it. I tried to pull the thermocouple out of the Evans housing but it will not move. How do you remove this thermocouple and install the new one? Can I do this myself or do I need to take it somewhere. It should be a simple fix.

I suggest you join the Newmar owners group on Yahoo. There are many knowledgable owners on that forum. Also, there is at least one RV technician who works on Newmar coaches.

The email address is: newmarowners@yahoogroups.com

The website is: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/newmarowners/

R&J,
I'd post this on RV Systems and Appliances - then ask RV Wizard (the moderator). He seems to always have a ready answer for these kinds of questions. (I have not had the same success with the Yahoo Newmar group as suggested by the previous post.)
