One moment we have generator electrical power, the next we don't.
As always before changing or eliminating power sources we shut down the house electrical users and disconnected the shore power. Powered up the generator for travel & it worked fine.
We did the same when we needed to go to shore power for a couple of hours. But when we need to go back to generator power, the generator would run fine but not send any power to the house.
Checked and reset the circuit breakers in the coach & on the generator, but nothing. Even reset the inverter.
Our shore power works fine.
Any suggestions?

It sounds like your automatic transfer switch is sticking. Try giving the cover a few gentle raps with the palm of your hand next time the generator is on but you are not getting electricity.

I agree with Tom, sounds like the transfer switch isn't transfering. A light to moderate rap on the switch box a couple times usually frees it up.

Is this the black box in the compartment adjacent to the electrical cord bay?

It is normally in the same bay as the shore power cord. The cord should feed out of it. Do you have a power cord reel?
There should be some identification on the cover saying it is a transfer switch.
Mine has an approximate 4"x3" white label on the front cover stating it is an IOTA Automatic Transfer Switch.
