Anyone have any ideas on what would cause this?? No furnace, thermostat or air on a 03 Dutchstar. Digital display will come on every few hours or so and furnace will start, then no display furnace will cool down and shut off... Did have one burnt fuse in furnace, checked connentions, tried different thermostat. (no display on it either) put a separate thermostat directly to furnace and is running as a temporary fix. Seems to be something in the signal to thermostat or maybe a relay....? Larry has been working on this all day, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Naomi & Larry

We had the four button thermostat on our 2000 DSDP and last hear we started having trouble with our comfort systems. Everything I checked took me back to the thermostat. We ended up upgrading to the five button thermostat with which we had to change the boards in the rooftops units as well.

Good luck,

Johnny

Thanks Johnny, it does have the five button thermostat. There is a relay (not sure if that is it what it is, but the thermostat wire and a few others go into it.) above the furnace screwed on the wall, wondering if there is something that could be hung up in that causing it to not get the signal to get to the thermostat... Thanks, Larry & Naomi

I have 2005 DSDP with five button thermostat.I had a problem with thermostat,no heat pump and no furnance, found moistuer on back of circuit board of thermostat, you could see where it shorted out, it happened to two thermostats, second time mounted termostat on wood backing about 1 inch from wall and have had no more problems.

Thanks, we already tried a different thermostat and still didn't get anything.... We took our exact thermostat from our coach and plugged it into the dutchstar... Nothing...Think it still has to do with whatever sends the signal to the thermostat on the wall.... Thinking that little black relay looking thing mounted by the furnace is it....? The thermostat wire runs into that little relay box.?
