No HDMI signal to bedroom TV

Hoping someone has had a similar problem and can help. I have a 2014 Ventana 3436, recently purchased and I have no signal to the bedroom TV. Main and exterior TV's display my Directv receiver's output but nothing to the bedroom. I continuity checked the HDMI cable's shield, 1 end to the other end and have no continuity. Does anybody know if that HDMI cable is run across the ceiling or under the floor, or even down the frame of the chassis? I'm at a loss as to where to find access to the cable.

I believe you will find that the front AV cabinet and the bed room AV cabinet are not connected together.

Mine works the same way, we get our Direct TV on the main living room TV and the outside TV, but not in the bedroom. We do have cable/antenna to all three. I was told that is how it is set up.

Same problem here, you will need a 2nd DTV receiver or remote HDMI, or use a 50' HDMI cable.

Ditto to above answers..... NO HDMI! Had I known, I would have had a cable installed on the build. Still working to add one, the conduit to the rear BR slide is to small for the end of the HDMI cable to fit thru.

Presently I use a "Leap Frog" similar to this product site below. The leap frog is sketchy at times.

or use a wireless repeater like the Actiontec one that I have. At home I beam a signal to my outdoor kitchen, when we travel, I put it in the coach to handle the bedroom TV

Called Newmar just recently over same issue

I have direct tv as well. Two things from Newmar: Bedroom requires a second receiver on standard factory builds. I also wondered why I could not hook up my King Flex Cube, when obstructions to my in-motion satellite on top of coach cannot cue direct TV directly to my antenna port in power bay. Techs stated Newmar puts the antenna port on for campground cable programs only; a rewire or special order when building coach would be needed to change wiring. I believe I could get up in my AV cabinet and maybe make the change perhaps. I believe I remember PDR John discussing this in a past OP a wire T that could be changed.

If there is an easy fix to install an additional HDMI for bedroom please advise.

I have a 2011 Newmar Canyon Start 3920, just ordered the
"IOGEAR GW3DHDKIT Wireless 3D Digital Kit with Full HD 1080P and 5.1 Channel Digital Audio" $189.00 on Amazon, This unit will transit your HDMI signal from your direct TV receiver in the front of the RV to your bedroom TV easily. And it transmits your remote control's IR signal so your remote will work in the bedroom also! So simple and probably not any more expensive than running a long HDMI cable. I'll report back after I have installed it and tell you how it works!

Wow, lots of good info. Thanks everyone. But I still am wondering: I have an unlabeled HDMI cable leaving my A/V cabinet(goes out the back, top outside side of the cabinet. I assumed (always a dangerous proposition, I know) that it ran to my bedroom tv, where there is an hdmi cable connected to it. I guess that connection could be from the hdmi jack by my tv. I'll check tonight.

The bedroom TV hdmi cable goes only from the bedroom av cabinet to the bedroom TV.

The cable you see in the front probably goes to either the outside TV, the main TV or the overhead TV.

You can special order an hdmi run from the front to the rear at the time of your build. Doing so afterwards would be very difficult.

I used the I O gear wireless hdmi kit to get my sat signal to the rear bedroom.

Check out this thread where this issue is discussed along with my install.

I don't think an HDMI cable from the front to the bedroom would work. Once you get to about 15' you need to add a repeater to boost the signal and I don't see Newmar wanting to bury that in the wiring.

It all depends on the cable quality and the sending/receiving devices. In my home theater setup I have a 40 foot HDMI cable using a small powered booster at one end. It transmits 1080p perfectly. Although it was quite expensive at the time.

This 40' run was put in many years ago. Today there are better ways of running wired high quality HDMI over long distances using HDMI over Cat6 technology.
