No power in audio satellite box.

2017 Ventana 4002. We are scheduled to go home today and we have lost all power to satellite direct tv receiver audio receiver. Have checked the satellite abd tv accessory fuses and they look fine. Any suggestion is appreciated. It just went dead all of the sudden.

The receiver should be connected to an outlet that is powered by the inverter. Is the inverter on?

We have checked fuses breakers gfi’s. The fuses we checked were tv accessories 20 amp and satellite 7.5.

There is no power to any of the outlets in the audio box.

Hi sheridany,
Looks like you may need to have a meter and trace back until you get some voltage. 120V AC would be circuit breakers. 12V DC would be fuses. When you get to the place where there is power, power in and no power out means the appliance in between is suspect. Consider calling Newmar customer service.

My DirecTV satellite antenna lost power one day and it seemed to have died because it was not warm when plugged in. A call to the satellite company resulted in a replacement and no problems for the past 4 years.

Did you check the circuit breaker on the inverter.

Did you check all GFI’s? Newmar hides them everywhere. Popular Hiding places: in medicine cabinets, in the same cabinet as the 110v breakers, in the basement. And of course check all of the ones in plain site[emoji4]

We looked every where. We tried every trick we could think of within our abilities. It has been a very long day for us and we finally called coachnet and they sent a tech out who lowered the satellite dish manually. We are going to head home tomorrow and schedule a warranty appointment cause we have no 110 outlets on one side as well as no TVs etc.

Your welcome, I know it’s after the fact, but could have you provided power through a extension cord from another working outlet to the satellite controller to bring the satellite down ? Also what was the conditions when this happened? Disconnected from shore power, generator off, inverter on?

When we tried that and plugged in the extension with a clear through connector we saw sparks and we stopped as we didn’t want to incur more damage as we were trying power the unit back on and then have it stow away have it stow away the dish. For some reason the satelitlite shut down part way through the process. We are not very mechanically inclined people so we thought it was best to let the tech stow it manually. We were still connected to shore power. There was nothing we could tell from ems. All said normal.

Got it sounds like you did the right thing until you can get it checked out. Sparking may be an indicator of a failed component
