My wife and I are currently at the International Rally in Gillette, WY and Transwest has a number of the 2019’s on display. There is a 4037 Ventana with the theatre seats I got to sit in and they were to me just OK. The 4018 Dutch Star on display with the dual recliners were much more comfortable and have space to swivel some. My wife really likes the recliners. Both are preferable to the couch for our needs.

We also have a 2017 DSDP 4018 with the dual recliners. This is a very popular option in the DS and we see them in lots of coaches. We are very happy with ours, but the Avila unit in the MA does seem to be a bit more comfortable.



I hardly ever see a DS with the L couch. Most seem to have the two chairs facing the sofa with the televator behind it.

I guess I’m confused, but the label on the chair in your picture says “flex steel”.

Also, if you are in a new Ventura, under warranty, I would be very surprised to see Newmar being non-responsive. Did you talk to the Newmar brand specialist?

Understand your confusion however, the Flexsteel tag is attached to the U shaped dinette NOT the two recliners.
Yes, worked with Two NEWMAR employees at North Trails when in warranty and again when out of warranty. They denied any help.
