Help! We're camped with friends, their 2006 Newmar Kountry Star has Suburban SW10 water heater. They have been using this coach since new (we were out 2 weeks ago), but today there is no water from the hot side of the tap. Cold has little pressure, but works.
There is hot water in the tank (pressure relief valve spits hot water). :h Where do we look? What can we do?

Is the outside faucet turned on with the water turned off at the sprayer?

No. We have turned on and off everything we can get our hands on.

Hi Jeff,
This is a shot in the dark. Check all the valves for the HWH winter bypass and antifreeze fill. The valves may not be turned correctly to supply hot water to the coach.

In my old coach I used to get what I believed to be Air Lock. Exact same symptoms, hot water from the pressure releive but, not in the coach and all valves correctly positioned.

I would open and close the bypass valve a few times and open the hot water drain. Worked for me.

If the previous posts do not bring good results, try this. I thought of another item you can check. I think there is a whole house water filter on the coach, in the utility bay. The filter could be clogged. To check,
1. turn off the water source
2. relieve the water pressure. Make sure all the water pressure is out of the lines.
3. Remove the water filter canister.
4. Remove the water filter.
5. Replace the canister, without the filter.
6. Turn on the water source.

I've had water filters go 1 year and some only a month. It all depends on the warter source. Looking at the filter it is difficult to tell if it is clogged.
