My 2005 KS 3910 has a 1200 Norcold that won't get below 40 deg in the fridge and 10 in the freezer. I checked the vent and it is clear. I have added a small fan in the back. The coach is level and it doesn't seem to matter whether I am on AC or Propane. I just tried moving the thermistor from the second fin from the left to a fin closer to the middle. It is also high up on the fin.
Any ideas? Also, none of the Newmar dealers on my route have time to look at it. If I use an independent RV dealer, will Newmar reimburse me for the repair? My coach is under warranty until mid Nov.
Thanks
Bill

Sounds about right. We're at 38-40 and 5-10.

Bill,
Try the "dollar bill" test and make sure the gasket isn't torn somewhere. What setting number are you using?

In Tucumcari 'til Tuesday am then the balloon festival

I am on setting 9. I can't find any tears or gaps in the seal.

Been there, done that for about two years. I had a 1200 in my MADP. Constant problem of insufficient cooling. Norcold authorized several repairs over the two year period, including two cooling units, one set of fans, insulation improvements, etc. Unit still would not hold 40 degrees if the ambient temperature was 80 degrees or more. Finally got the fridge replaced with a new model, a 1210. Checked it this morning-30 degrees.
