I have a Norcold 1210 4dr in my 2010 Dutchstar that works fine on electric. However, when it is on LP the bottom frige compartment will stay about 72 degrees with the fin plates inside getting cool, but not real cold. When I measure the top left freezer gets to 28 degrees and the top right freezer gets to about 42 degrees. I have a nice blue flame on the burner which seems to be about 1/8 inch high where it comes out of the ports and extends about an inch up with no color. It will go out when I rotate the screw by the solenoid valve and come right back on when released. Any clues on what the hot bottom problem could be would be greatly appreciated.

Gene

After reading some of your previous posts about burner you say you have a good flame from burner. Turning the off and on valve should not change flame unless you may have some blockage in the tube to burner as spider web or mud dabber remains.
If you haven't checked before just make sure the tube is clean.
Here is a thread on problems that you maybe having with your fans and you should be hearing the fans cycling off and on during a warm or hot day.
People have had defective heat thermistors that control the fans and the vent space has to be clear to top vent on roof or side wall if on a slide.
Most times even in hot weather the freezer will be plenty cold but box will be warm if both are a problem maybe the fans for 1200 fridge.
If freezer is OK than people have had to add aditional fans in vent area to get box temps down in hot weather.

The service center is still checking and will hold the unit and test for 24 hours, but so far the burner tube is clean, the flame is the right height and the Propane pressure checks out okay. I later found out the freezer temp should be about zero F for both sides, not the 28 left side and 42 degrees right side I had measured. I will advise outcome later, but has anyone seen anything like this before?

There correct the freezer should be the same both sides.
The thermistor can cause problems in box section if defective we have found, if your fans are working and all else checks out OK they will not add any fans that most people have added for better cooling.
Norcold is also have a problem with cooling unit fires.
With their poor cooling unit problems people have been changing out the cooling unit with a well built Amish unit which does not need Norcold recall fixes and much more efficient.

MYSTERY SOLVED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As it turns out this was caused by a smaller than required flame. The flame looked normal, but was not high enough to do the job.

Reason was the spring around the Propane hose in the slideout had slipped allowing the hose to kink just enough to restrict the flow to the point where the flame vould not get high enough. This also would explain why the problem was somewhat intermittant because with the slideout open a bit more Propane could get through the hose because the kink was not as severe.

Yes thanks for the follow up Gene , the 1/8" flame was the tip off now will have to remember that especially on a slide setup.
Others have had slide feed problems but complete shut down of LP to fridge on slide.
