One more fix we had done at the FMCA rally I wanted to pass along...

The freezer on our 4-door Norcold Model 2117 in our MADP would occasionally ice up. The ice built up on the louvers on the inside right side of the freezer box and got so bad a few times it choked of the coils completely – not what you'd want from a "frost free" refrigerator.

The Norcold techs at FMCA knew all about it and installed a kit which entirely eliminated the problem. The issue: the condensation drain tube was freezing up and closing off so as water continued to accumulate, it froze the drain shut. . . and the water kept building and freezing. The kit included a small heater element for the drain opening plus a new control board. Took them about half an hour to switch everything out.

If you're having a similar problem, get in touch with Norcold and they'll tell you where to get it fixed. It's a known problem.

Thanks, Paul -

We always get a lot done and learn plenty at rallies.

BTW, we're in Michigan now and on track for our Nappanee visit Sept 8. Phil tells me we may be there for the week (have some paint issues which may require body shop work). Sure hope we'll see you there then. . . in the new Jetsetter!
