The overflow Oasis tank in the engine compartment is filled to the “Max fill when cold” mark. I generally check the level every month or so, but it’s been awhile and I would expect the level to have gone down a bit, so that may yet be a concern. Tomorrow I will check the fluid level at the top of the unit.
I peered into the overflow tank and it appears that the tube into the tank on the Oasis side is intact. At least it is vertical and immersed in fluid, and appears to be connected to the tank at the top.
I attached a ground wire to the burner box cover, and then tried the burner option on the unit.
Result? Looking through the inspection window revealed a glowing igniter (ten seconds or so), but there was never any flame. Not even the short burn I had last week, and I immediately noticed a red flame out light!
Tomorrow i will again pull the fuel block and verify the fuel flow I had last week. Something must have now happened to the fuel supply, because glow + fuel should equal fire! I still don’t know why the igniter operation appeared to be erratic the other day.
BTW: After leaving three messages requesting additional info, ITR apparently has chosen not to get back to me. I have apparently stumped the stars!

FWIW Update

After numerous calls to ITR and much headscatching, our Oasis burner issue seems to have been resolved. The Problem? A defective O-Ring around the base of the nozzle that was allowing air to mix with fuel before it reached the nozzle tip. The nozzle is designed to keep air and fuel separate until fast moving air creates negative air pressure around the nozzle orifice thereby drawing fuel into the burner chamber and atomizing it.
Also please note that the smaller nozzle supplied by ITR has greatly reduced burner operation noise and reduced diesel odor to near zero.

this is an alternate nozzle that ITR sent you ? it is not the stock nozzle that comes with the unit ?

Thats correct. My original complaint was about burner noise, diesel smell, and a “wet” nozzle that I noticed when I was doing annual maintenance. Newmar Service in Nappanee is great, but was unable/unwilling to resolve the problem, so I started a conversation directly with ITR.
The OEM nozzle was labeled “-52”. The replacement nozzle is labeled “-5”, which I was told is microscopically smaller. The operational difference is significant, however, and has resolved all of my complaints (after finding the bad o-ring).

I have no comment on the repair, but i do on your ability to work through this problem.. I am impressed that you were able to solve this problem, obviously with a lot of research and time. I get frustrated when I am out of my area of expertise and I cannot find a certified technician to help me. Kudos to you for a job well done. Be well.

Thank you. I have been blessed (or cursed) with the thought that I can usually figure it out....eventually. Sometimes that’s not the best approach, but I always try. Usually the problem has a KISS solution. At least, when the problem is resolved, I have a better understanding of how the system works!
As with many others on this forum, the thread is posted in hope of helping others with a similar issue.

There are many threads in this sticky by DS Don and PDR John covering the OASIS Heater and others for AQUA HOT furnaces.
