Question Oasis Engine Pre-heat

On my 2017 DSDP 4369, the panel for the Oasis has a blank plate for the Oasis Engine pre-heat. I am assuming this means that I do not have that capability on my Oasis. I thought that I had read that this is a standard feature of Oasis. I cannot not find that it is an option in the Newmar litature. What am I missing?
BTW, I am new to this and have only taken two short, shakedown trips, heading out next week for 16 days in the Northeast.

You have a engine block electric heater and have never seen a Newmar with either Hrdro-Hot or Oasis system with diesel engine preheat. We do use our electric block heater when temp get close to 40 degrees to assist engine start.

Thanks, I just figured that out. I was confused between engine waste heat magement and engine pre-heat.

Here is a thread dealing with this. One member did have Newmar install this as a special. Another member, PDR John, retrofitted his Oasis and posted an excellent step-by-step description about the process here. It looks like if you have the waste engine heat loop you install a pump to make it work backward.

I believe an additional pump is added to the Oasis distribution module...and a panel upgrade to place the switch for turning on Engine Preheat...from the Oasis control panel.

I believe I've seen posts here on IRV2 where people have added it.

Not sure I'd be doing enough cold weather camping to justify the add-on, myself.

Suspect yours is the same as ours.

There is an engine heat loop but it uses engine heat for hot water or interior heating while underway. We can not use the Oasis to warm the engine. As someone else stated, we have an electric block heater for that purpose.

As far as I know Newmar will not do this as a special. Maybe service will do it? The biggest issue is getting the switch installed in the faceplate.

The electric block heater is all you need. With in 3 hrs. even at 40 degrees out side you will be at 130 to 140 degrees. By adding engine pre-heat you are adding to the future problem with leaks etc. We leave on when going to bed and then engine up to around 150 degrees.
