Oasis heat vents obstructed by slides

I have searched this forum, hopefully with the right terms, and have not found an answer to my question.

We have an all electric coach with Oasis heat. If we are driving during the winter months, and want a little more heat then the dash will provide, we would prefer to use the Oasis heat rather then the roof top heat pumps. However with the slides in for travel several of the heat vents are covered by the slides in both heater zones. Will any harm or damage occur to either the side of the slides that are getting a lot of close-up heat hitting them, or to the heat registers and fans which are being obstructed?

I have found so much help and many answers on iRV2, but nothing specific on this one.

Jim

The heat registers one near the front under dash one in Kitchen cabinets, bathrooms I would say their heat would not find a problem with slides in.
I do not remember seeing any in the slides other than the kitchen.
The heat pumps wouldn't work below 30* for heat.

Thanks 007, my main concern is with the vents at the bottom of the cabinet under the TV that gets blocked by the drivers side front slide and the vent below the washer/dryer that is blocked by the passenger side rear slide. These vents are completely obstructed when the slides are in and the hydronic heat is quite warm.

Can you control the fans on individual registers for a slower speed?
In QT's 1 & 2 there is information on your heating system plus the three links in my signature will bring you to more info for your coach.

Our full wall slide the bedroom heater. I've never had a problem with it, I also open the window on that end of the slide. It helps spread the heat faster.

TwoCorners, I understand your concern. I never thought about the heater vents being blocked with the slides in. Why not call Newmar technical? They always seem to be very helpful. If you do let us know what they say.

I spoke with Newmar tech support this morning. They advised me that there are no issues driving with the slides in, and the hydronic heat on. I do like the idea of opening the window on the end of the living room slide, that will let some of the heat coming in those vents to come up and in the window.

TwoCorners ... I also use the furnace with the slides in while driving. I think I asked that question of the Newmar folks when I was there once and got the same "it's ok" like you did.
