If you have a Newmar coach with the new Oasis hydronic heating system and have been bothered by the shower water starting off pleasantly hot then turning COLD before returning to a comfortable temperature, there's a fix.

We talked with the Oasis reps at the recent FMCA rally and they told us a service bulletin has been sent to their dealers about the issue. It's "DM12 Aquastat Position Change Bulletin MTB-111-11."

The modification moves a temperature sensor away from a hot water line which apparently fools the unit into thinking the temperature is getting too warm and so it calls for cold water. Oasis fixed it for us on the spot at the rally but said any authorized Oasis service center or reputable motorcoach dealership could also make the modification. Since it's been fixed there's no more standing in the buff waiting for the temp to stabilize!

Just thought you'd like to know.

Hi! When they say normal do you mean the problem with it getting cold and then hot?? You can call Oasis and ask them where you can get a copy of the Bulletin so you can show your dealer. Oasis has great phone support and may be able to talk you thru the fix if no parts are needed. Paul

Clnhse -

Believe me, it's NOT normal, or at least it shouldn't be.

The Oasis folks know all about the problem and the fix is pretty simple - repositioning a sensor. Call Oasis direct and talk to tech support; they'll put you in touch with someone who can fix it for you.

I just did it myself. I called them and was directed to their web site. On their web site you can find the fix. I do not care if it is under warranty....Why bother when I can fix it on my driveway....and I know it is done correct.

Hi! Great info Clnhse! Here is Oasis web site: http://www.oasisheater.com/ and for those so inclined, here is the update http://www.oasisheater.com/documents...atposition.pdf As a side note, thanks to Radioman's post, Super B has his DSDP at the dealer getting the upgrade. That is why it so important to post this stuff. It is a great help to many. Paul
