Hi RVers. Can anyone tell me where I can plug my OBDII reader into my '96 Dutchstar 34 foot gasser on a Ford F-53 chassis?
I also can not find the cable TV end up front near the antenna and switchplate. I ended up running the cable in the bedroom window to the terminal for the rear TV and feeding the signal up to the front that way, but would like to find the factory terminal location if one exists.

The ODBII port should be under the dash on the drivers side. You should be able to see it if you look under the dash.

Does your F53 have a 7.5L V8 or the 6.8L V10? If it is the V8 there's no connector, the engine's OBD1, if it is the V10 it will be on the driver side as Iron Man said. Mine is just above and to the right of the gas pedal.

Your coach should have some kind of switching box for the TV's with a lot of coax cables coming out, it's usually located in one of the cabinets by the front TV. If you find that you should find the cable to the rear TV.

Good Luck!

On a '96, F53 Ford you don't have an OBDII... only OBD1

The connection from rear where water hook is should apear in cabinet above pass. side and would normally go into a cable switch box for tape player and TV locations.

If this is missing you may have to take off face plate to locate you cables.
Should have one from TV ANT amplifier, rear TV and front TV from sidewall box of Tv housing. Plus from tape player if you have one.
Welcome to the Newmar forum & irv2 by the way.

Thank You 007. I have the switchbox Etc. and cable terminal to TV2 and from antenna, and cable to TV1 but haven't pulled the faceplates off yet. Because the external cable and phone terminals are side-by-side, I did pull the phone faceplate off but there isn't even a box there, only a hole for the phone cable to pass through. Hope to check more thoroughly this weekend.

Thanks Rick, thats kind of a bummer as that is the reason I wanted a '96 or newer, so I could have that information available to me.
