OBDII Port

I just recently purchased a 5 star tune for my 2013 Newmar Canyon Star. I called Newmar and asked customer service where the OBDII port was located and I was told in the engine compartment driver side on the fire wall. I've looked and can't find it. (Maybe just blind or stupid or both) Do any Canyon Star owners know exactly where it is located? Any assistance would be absolutely appreciated.

On our 2011 Newmar CS it is on the right side of the steering wheel. Hard to see bc it is black plastic and totally wrapped in black tape
Happy Trails

I don't know about the Newmar gas coaches, but IME there is usually an OBDII port somewhere in the engine compartment as well. If there is, it will likely have a black cap covering it.

Hi - At least in the past Ford has placed the OBD II under the dash on the drivers side near the steering column. Might be horizontal or vertical.

On our 2008 it was to the right of the steering column next to where the dash bulged out for the radio, backup camera, etc., pretty much above the accelerator pedal. It faced down.

2012 Bay Star - port is just to the right of the steering wheel at the bottom of the dash panel. It has a cover on it and should look like a little black box. On mine, the open end is pointed outward which makes it very easy to insert any scanner, 5 Star Tuner, etc.

I may be possible that it's gotten tucked up under the dash....but I don't see how anyone could have moved it very far.

Ford released this file on the OBD II connector , not being properly relocated by RV manufacturers ,from the bare chassis transit placement to a visible location, during the dash build.

On a Gas, the OBDII port is always within one foot of the steering column (by law).
On a Diesel (non OBDII) typically it is at the base of the steering column and another back the the engine to make diagnostics more convenient.
