Obsessing over 4 corner weight

I just had my DSDP weighed. Fully loaded with Toad attached. Finally have each individual wheel weight. Everything under the rating as provided by Newmar, tire pressure adjusted as per tire manufacture. Spending the week at Fort Wilderness, every thing is perfect! What am I obsessing about?
There is a 1000 lb difference between the front wheel weights. Driver weighs 75 lbs more than wife on the passenger side. House Batteries are on the Driver side up front, are they responsible for 900 lb more?

That is a little high difference between side to side on front axle. If you can move some weight from the high side to low that should be your 1st. move. Remember to set your tire pressures for both front tires for the high side tire weight. Might share your weights so other owners with the same year, floor, chassis etc. who can see if this is usually. For right now you should still have enough weight caring front axle to not stop you from enjoying your coach.

I think your ride heights are probably off a little. Adjusting ride heights is the easiest and best way to get the weight adjusted. The heavier corner is slightly higher and accepting more weight.

obsessing over 4 corner weight

Most likely the Full Wall Slide (FWS) also note that the weight of everything that you have added to the MH has to end up on one of the 6 points, based on the location it can add weight in places you would be surprised by. Weight more towards the rear can lighten front weights. Most likely it’s the FWS
Call Newmar customer service and provide your coach number and ask for the weight sheet as it left the factory empty, this will be a helpful comparison. Good luck Stuart W

I’d recommend contacting Newmar to get the as built corner weights and then compare. The difference you’re seeing seems way too high.

I would carefully examine what you have stored and where it's stored. Food items can be quite heavy.

Thanks everybody for your suggestions. I did set the tire pressure based on the higher weighted side. I will find and post the weights too see how they compare to others, but I like the idea of calling Newmar CS for the empty weights from the factory.
Interesting enough, I expected the passenger side front to be the heavier side due to the way I had the storage compartments loaded. most all the items were loaded on the passenger side. including the outside refrigerator/freezer, grill, tool box, etc . The driver side compartments are primarily as/is. front compartment directly behind the wheel is 6 house batteries on slide out tray, next is lightly loaded with extra sewer hose and attachment in a rubbermaid container, then the oasis unit, next is the electric cable on a reel, the next compartment is the wet bay. not much room for added items on the driver side which is the heavy side. FWS isn't carring that much weight esp. in the front. Refrigerator, Kitchen and bath are on the passenger side.

Obsessing over 4 corner weight

What were each of the individual wheel weights. I still feel you have a height issue which can easily be adjusted. What is the split in the rear wheel weights. My bet is that the front wheel that weighs 1000 lbs more is a little higher that the other.

We once had a corner weighing more.... not as much as yours.... and I attributed it to the fishing dry fly box! Moved things around and good to go.

Okay here are the # from Escapees
RF 8400 LF 9400 RR 8850 LR 8100 RT4550 LT4650
TOAD total 4450
Front axle 17800 rated 19000
Drive axle 16950 rated 20000
Tag Axle. 9200 rated. 12000
GVW 43950. CGVW 48400
GVWR 51000 CGVWR 61000 Freightliner
3/4 fuel 3/4 Fresh 0 grey 10% Black
I don't think the Weights are out of line or a problem, just curious as to why the difference on the front axle
I guess I don't understand the ride height influence on wheel weight. Seems to me a high wheel would shift the weight to the lower wheels?

My Ventana is similar - 650 pounds heavier on the driver's side front axle, 675 pounds heavier on the passenger side rear axle, tag axle is close to balanced. The front axle is 2,000 pounds under GAWR, rear and tag axles are 4,000 pounds under GAWR.

The 6 volt Interstate batteries are 62 pounds each x 8 = 496 pounds so that's a big chunk of the front axle differential.

Fanukalum, you can see my reply on the other post, still think it’s a height issue. LF is slightly too high. Easy fix

FWS weight itself.

You are not considering the weight of the FWS. The weight of slideouts can easily be 500-1200 lbs each depending on lenght. Also the weight of the six batteries can easily be 300 lbs.
