On a continuing thread of odd problems with my 2000 Dutchstar, when I purchased the rig it had 56K miles on it (I checked it for the mileage statement/verification) Then the dealer repaired the backup camera display and replaced the radio... When I got it back, the odometer was reading 90K plus kilometers. Has anyone had this problem or does anyone know of a button/switch etc that would change the reading between Miles and Kilometers?

If you have a Mode button some place you should get a menu that you can change display mods.

no mode button that I can find and no screen that would show a menu (small LCD bar for the odometer is about it)

IF you have the owner's manual there are instructions in the manual on changing it.
I know how to do Workhorse.. But since you said you do not have a MODE button, you do not have the same dash I do.
On mine you press and hold both MODE and TRIP.. Since you don't have mode that won't help you.
But it is in the fine manual
Alas, since I don't have your manual... I don't know where. Look in the index for the word kilometers.

I had a 2000 Dutch Star on a Spartan chassis and I remember switching to kilometers when I traveled in Canada and back to miles when back in the States. But my brain is getting old and I can't remember how I switched the reading.
Call the chassis maker (Spartan or Freightliner) and they should be able to tell you how to change the settings.

I have an '03 DSDP with a Spartan chassis. Below the odometer there are two buttons. The one on the left will go between the compiled mileage from day one and trip mileage. The button on the right will change the mileage from being measured in miles to kilometers. Hope this helps.

I think the 2000 model only has one button below the odometer.
Another though is to hold the button about ten seconds and see if they changes it back to miles.

My Dutch Star 2006 is an American model, with MPH. In the background you have the KmPH (kilometers per hour). When I drive it in the States, I simply put my GPS in MPH and in Canada, KmPH - helps a lot to follow the speed limits - I must have some way of changing this on the Spartan chassis - I really am lazy so I keep it in MPH, the old way we used to drive in this Country, neighbouring yours !!
