(The kind that drop when the door opens and raise when closed.) We also had to add backup camera. Seats are pretty decent. Add in we can open top if desired and it is nice for exploring plus we do have the off road option.
Drawbacks. It's not to Mercedes/Audi trim or option level. It's noisy at highway speed unlike say Porsche/Jaguar convertibles. Top is not exactly easy to close. MPG is kind of low.
All in all if we were to get new toad it would be another Wrangler.

Tom

What back up camera did you add, I want to do the same

The Tacoma makes the lunch break better than most Jeeps can provide, first picture.

Roads that require stacking stones to continue or climb out of a wash are no problem for the Tacoma. I notice I have less wheel spin in climbing a steep rocky dirt hill than the Jeeps. I can just ease on the gas and go, and downhill 4x4 low keeps me from riding the brakes which most the Jeep drivers seem to do. This is mild off roading in picture 2. Tuff off roading kept too much attention when climbing and descending boulders to take pictures. The 4x4 350s P/Us had dropped out miles ago.

Just got one at Best Buy that they had in stock but it also took an additional module they had me order, we also had them do the install. Camera sits between spokes of the spare. Don't really recall any more than that as we had it done in early Jan. while in Sarasota.

Was much more concerned about getting the AMP running boards so wife could get in and out on her own without a problem.

We will be flat towing our 2006 Silverado Z71 ext cab. It has been down many jeep trails . . . is it the ultimate off road machine? Nope! But it has one big advantage besides easy flat towing . . . its paid for

Traded our Honda CRV for a Rubicon. Never looked back.

We did our first Jeep Jamboree in July.

Make sure you get one with an automatic transmission.

Traded our 2014 crv for a jeep Rubicon this past March. Spent two months in Colorado doing trails and loved it. Lots of cars to pick from you just need to decide what level of off roaming you want to do. After our four month trip the jeep now has 20k on it. Since we full time the jeep is our only car and has not been hard to live with. The ride is no harder to live with than my 3/4 ton truck was but the solid axle does make bumps harder if you hit with both wheels at once.

Enjoy your travels

4 years of not owning a MH but I still have my TJ Toad. Fun factor is off the charts

Rides like crap, noisy, terrible fuel economy. But man o man is it a blast to drive (anywhere you want).

Why the automatic transmission? That is what we have, but I may have gotten the manual if it was only me driving. This is our first Jeep, love it.

Aegon, our odometer on our wrangler does not register miles when under tow. We take the key out.

I used to tow a Wrangler, getting older and the Jeep was getting rough to ride in. I upgraded this year to the new 2017 Ford Raptor, I am not disappointed in my choice.
