oil spray on hub

After our first long trip in our new to us 2008 Essex I noticed a spray of oil on the right front wheel.

Took it in today to have it serviced and it seems that the someone in the coaches past had overfilled the hub lubricant. Big relief on the pocket book when the mechanic told me, looks like the seals are all good.

So nice to find an honest place to do business with.

I found oil spry too after having new tire installed. Before I went and to service I took off the hub cover and the plug holding the oil in was missing. Duct tape to get me on my way the had some plugs sent.

Just a note for information. On my Kountry Star the plugs dried out and leaked. Had it looked at while in for service expecting the worst. Was pleasantly surprised when new plugs solved the problem.

Had a leak last year in Ft Myers on the left driver's side - checked it out and ordered new plug and re-filled to the line and everything OK since.

Where can I get a couple of plugs to have on hand, just in case?

Does anyone have a picture of the plug location? And how to tell if everything is ok. I had new tires put on and after removing the simulator covers to add a valve stem extender I noticed one of the wheels were all greasy. Its a used coach so I don't know if it's a past problem fixed or new. Also had spare replaced so they could have put the spare at that location. Spare is stored above the LP tank is that location prone to getting greasy?

It sure is nicer to find it is only a plug issue, but a failed seal is really not that big a deal. It's about a two and a half hour labor job with maybe $30 parts to replace the Stemco seal.
One thing to really watch, if you have the wheels removed, say replacing tires, it is easy for the service people to strike the hub while reinstalling the wheel. This can crack the plastic face of the oil chamber and cause a leak. I know, it happened to me once at Spartan. They replaced it at no cost.
