Old Sat. dish on roof ???
My 02 Kountry Star has the old type dish on top and I'm going to change it out for a new one. How big is the holes on the roof and ceiling when I remove the old one ? How do I fix the inside ceiling where the hole is ? Thanks for the help.

Usually the dish is mounted on 3 plates that are bolted to the roof. You may be able to reuse the 3 plates (unbolt the old dish from the 3 plates). The old wiring usually goes thru a 2 inch hole that is covered with a cable "cover". In other words, you may get lucky and not need to patch anything. You will need to physically compare old/new. If patching is needed, Eternabond works.

Depends on size of hole. There are various sizes for boats .... search "marine deck plates" and look for the screw-down type.

Holes
The new one has 3 feet, the old one is about 12" round on the bottom and has screws all the way around it. It is one of the old crank-up ones. I may just take the old dish off and leave the old base and interior piece on it.

Dish
I got my new one put on and hooked up. I just took the old dish off on the top and left the mount on the roof. It isn't real noticeable and I'm going to paint it white. Doing it this way I won't have to worry about the inside ceiling because it will still have the inside control for the old still mounted. It is an easy swap.
