I am adding Onan C30 Auto start in my 03 Mountain Aire Gas. The only thing I'm uncertain of is hooking into the thermostat. It has the digital comfort control hooked up to two 15,000 btu heat pumps. The units connect to thermostat with a four wire flat modemn cable. Can anyone tell me how they connected their thermostat to the ec30 or if their is an interface( such as a y plug that will pick up the start impulse) that will make this connection. Dometic customer support wasn't very usefull

I just added the AGS to my coach and it does not actual CONNECT to the A/C. It has a thermostat that senses the heat and triggers the genset. IF you have the A/C on, when the genset starts, so will your A/C. But, if the A/C is off, it will do nothing.

Hope that helps.

THE 0nan version of the auto start doesn't have an auxillary thermostat ( like I think tour ags does) but uses the factory installed thermostat. I need to know what wire sends the signal to the a/c so I can send that same signal to auto start to start genset.
