Onan GenSet Automatically Started??I

I've never set my Generator to automatically start - not certain if that's a
feature I have. If I have that feature I'm not familiar how it works. In any
case, a couple mornings ago I heard from inside my house what sounded like my Genset running. Sure enough that's what it was! I definitely did not manually start it the previous day, nor am I aware of doing anything to cause it to come on. What's going on...can anyone explain to me? Is it
obvious that I have the automatic start and conditions were right for it to
come on? Please pardon me for not researching this thoroughly before
posting. Many thanks, in advance.

I have a 17 DSDP but since yours is only 2 older I’m betting you do have AGS.

On your Magnum panel above the entrance door look for the AGS Button.

Press until it says 01 AGS Control. Press the big lnob and it should say AGS= Enable with a left arrow.

If that’s there your AGS is enabled to start when the battery level hits a set point and if set a certain temp inside if the power goes out.

Pm me with a phone number if you want.

Was it plugged into shore power? Perhaps it had been factory set to start when the batteries get to a certain state of dischargr?

Thanks, John and Jay for your quick responses. I neglected to mention that, Yes, I was plugged into 50A shore power at the time, so the batteries
were not the likely problem. I will tomorrow look at my monitoring panel and follow John's suggestions Thanks for the offer to discuss by phone, Jay
...I'll see what happens tomorrow.
