No, Gary, it is a brown, taupe, cream combo. They have a Chrysler Hemi toad.

Gary - if you're thinking of the same one we've seen at Newmar a couple times, it's now got big lettering on the back that says "The Renegade" or "The Fugitive", or something like that.

69RoadRunner: I've looked at Ventana's and Dutch Star"s because they would be in the range of what we want to spend. Haven't really seen an All Star other than on-line. I'm curious about your perpective/regret not going for the All-Star instead. I'm still looking and it'd be helpful to know your thoughts either here or by PM. I like the floorplan of the 4482 All Star but wonder about it not having a tag-axle on a 44' DP. Seems mightly long for one rear axle. Anyone have a feeling on this? Thanks.

Hi enjoyrv,
If the 4482 is the floor plan with the living area in the back it is the same floor plan I wanted. I have no problem with the rear over hang. For me it was an optical illusion. I measured from the center of my drive axle to the rear of the coach. The 44' 11" AllStar was within an inch of the same distance! The difference seems to be in the wheelbase. I do not remember the numbers but the AllStar had a much longer wheelbase than my 39' KSDP. For me this means the difference would be maneuvering in tight places.
Floor plan sells the coach. AllStar had some great floor plans.

There are 2 things the All Star 4154 (bunks) has that I wish I had. One is 2 extra captains chairs with seatbelts and a foldout table. That would be a great place for the kids when traveling.
The other is an upgrade to the ISC engine. The ISB gets me where I need to go, but struggles up mountains on I-68 on the Maryland panhadle.
And I also like the Imagination Room floorplan with the All Star. I could have a truly separate room for the bunkbeds and set up a play area for bad weather. Plus, a little desk could go across from the bunks.

There some steep hills there.
My 400HP, 1200fp torque ISL can only manage 43MPH on some of those hills moving 39,000# of MH and toad.

Yeah, that's about what I could do, and when I got stuck behind a slow-moving tractor trailer, I was done. I couldn't pass and I had no choice but to put on the flashers and do the same speed.
It really didn't matter if I had a toad or not. I went most of the way across 68 with no toad and a full tank of H20 to Tub Run Campground. Then a few weeks later I pulled the Road Runner on a trailer (about 5600 pounds) and did the same speeds.

Congrats!!! We picked up our MH at Steinbring the day before you guys arrived. Didn't get to go through yours but it looked beautiful from the floor. We'll keep our eyes out for your rig when we hit the road this coming Feb for 6 months.
Enjoy!

As tag axles are needed for extra carrying capacity and/or ride/ handling due to the rear engine weight, it is not needed for a Mid-Engine! The advantage of the ME include the ability to lower the floor beyond the rear axle providing for garages, large 2nd bedrooms, large living area, etc.
