Opinions on ad

I'd like some feedback on my ad. You can PM me if you don't want to post here. My ad has been posted for a while now, with a price adjustment today. No other comments other than my own, no inquiries what so ever from here.

What gives?

What are you basing your asking price on?

Price seems a little high for the high mileage. I bought my 2015 with only 5,600 miles in Feb of 2017 for $239,995. Yes itís an Itasca and not a Dutch Star but it has a Cummings 450 Diesel Motor, Allison tranny, Freightliner chassis, Aqua Hot, and all electric. You may want to do some me research regarding your asking price.

Having just sold a 2014 a few months ago, I would say that you're asking price is about $30K - $35K to high. I know that's not what you want to hear, but I think you would be lucky to get $220K if it was pristine. The base price of a 2019 is about $10K more than what you're asking.

Beautiful rig! But why cross-post like this? It was offered in the proper forum. You'll get bites and nibbles, or just wait. Or drop the price again.

I have lots of respect for you Mr. Don, but a 2019 base priced 10K higher than 245k? Now that seems really low for a '19.

I do appreciate your advice though.

I think that question is answered in my first sentence. I'd like some advice. I'm not trying to get more people to see the ad, I seriously want to know other thoughts on the ad.

I wasn't trying to insult you....I missed on my math...A 2019 DS MSRP is 371K. At 27% - 28% off MSRP, it's $270K......your ad says you just dropped it to $255K. So it's a $15K difference on the base price of a 2019. Now obviously, you have a lot of extras and no one buys a coach for base price, without any options, but that's where a lot of people start doing their math when looking at used versus new.

I know my 2014, which was fully loaded and sold for about $205K. My 2014 had the old roof line which I think cost me some money. Maybe in your area of the country, your DS will sell for more, but in California, $220 - $225 would be an average SALE price, not listed price on a 2015.

Personally, I feel that the DS line has held it's value over the past few years which allowed me to buy another. If it wasn't for an average sales tax and license fee of $30K, in California, I would have bought a new one sooner. In 5 years, I've paid California $60K in tax and license fees on two coaches.

I thought I knew prices when I sold mine and expected to get about $20K more than I did. It sat for over 30 days without a bite. These newer coaches are also at a price that many spend for a house, so buyers are limited.

Iím sure some of this geographically influenced. The right buyer is out there for everything, you just need to find them. All of the best luck in finding your buyer.

I would suggest you run an ad on rvtrader. I sold mine directly and all the serious calls came from rvtrader

I've wondered what the sale rate is on this site. I'm sure there are a lot of lookers but do they buy?

Since you're in Louisiana, why not take it here to sell? They handle quality motorhomes which Newmar is and they sell a lot and fast.

Another place is PPL Consignments. We sold our Dutch Star there within a month. A couple from Florida flew in to purchase it. This is such an easy way to sell. We put the price on it and that's what we got.
