I have found, as well as seen mention in other posts, that my opposing slides will open and close at the same time. Makes it a lot easier and saves some time. Question is, does anyone know if there is any reason one should not do this? Are they meant to run simultaneously, or might you overload something doing that?
Thanks,
Alan

I open and close my opposing slides simultaneously all the time.

I see no reason not to.

Thanks Dirk, that's kind of what I thought, I can't see any reason it would hurt it, but I had one control board go out already. I'm thinking it's just coincidence, but it occured right after I discovered they'd run at the same time and started doing it that way. Then I started running them seperately again, and got tired of it quickly. If I blow another board maybe I think about it again, but it's simultaneous for me!

The techs at Camp Newmar have stated to me in the past that it is very permissible to run both slides simultaneously.

My biggest problem in doing it is that one slide reaches the end of the movement before the other ( due to slide depth difference ) and then I mess up the rocker switch by momentarily taking my finger off it. I wish they had larger switches for "real fingers".
