Yes, just wondering how long it takes for Newmar to deliver once they get the order. I realize there are many factors, but was hoping to get a feel for how long we have to wait and put off vacation plans, tailgating etc.

Your dealer should be able to tell you the build date for your order. That was one of the items in my negotiation, wanting a FPU on specific date. In may of 2018 I placed my order with an expected fpu on Oct 1. It worked exactly as planned

We ordered a Bay Star 3226 mid January and our line date was the beginning of May. We received an initial chassis spot and then after our specials were all reviewed, negotiated, and ultimately approved, they asked us if we wanted a slightly earlier spot that opened up and of course we said yes. I am not an expert, and we are new to all of this, but I have been reading tons of posts for the last couple months and it is usually a minimum of several months between order finalization and final inspection date...then waiting for delivery! I wouldn't book anything until you know your build date and then go from there...Good luck!!

The 4369 Dutch Star is the number 1 model coach Newmar builds. The Spartan chassis on the DS 4369 along with heated floors really makes it extra special.

When in May and was Oct 1st your idea or the soonest it was available? Will be doing a FPU as well.

Personally, I am waiting for the 2021 Bay Star (3401) model year (available to order early May 2020) because of the new F-53 chassis upgrade with the 7.3 beast and perhaps the 10 speed trans...was thinking an August date for a FPU ...I thought it was 3 months to build and a few weeks more because of the FPU...did that change or was I wrong all along?

I would consider getting the 2020 second half model year IF they would give me the new F-53 chassis coming out later this year and forego any possible additional goodies for 2021...lol

It was early may, and October was my request. I had a Europe trip planned returning late September. I had been offered a slot in august but declined.

My dealer told me my exact date before we even ordered. It came into the dealership that day.

We ordered in May 2017 and took delivery at the end of August.

There are two kind of orders, one is when the dealer converts one of the orders they have in the “pipeline”, this is typically shorter. The other is the dealer orders an additional unit, this is typically longer as the clock starts on that day. As you said their are many factors. Just for reference, I ordered my 2018 DS at the beginning of June and received it November 22.

I should have added that the date given in June was within a day of the November delivery.

Hi - We submitted to contract for a 2020 DS on May 20th after meeting with Michelle. Settled the specials on May 31th. Coach starts at chassis on July 15th, main line on July 18 and approximate ship date of August 16th. The time spans are fairly close to the build of our current DS (although it shipped late due to a shortage of chairs).

OK...that is what I am hoping for too!

Will finally be ready to order later this year after selling one house and moving to a new home base off of Long Island. Given the new 2021 is only a few months away I am waiting until May. An August FPU date is perfect timing for the kids to go back to school and the campgrounds to open up some

Thanks everyone for the help...

Just got the Newmar build sheet. The Order date was 5/13/2019 Build to begin 7/24/2019 (almost 10 weeks). No delivery time as yet. I also noticed the 4369 beast weighs in at 42,300 lbs. I should get a chance to test the asphalt in the driveway in a few weeks and the grass parking lot at the Penn State Tailgate Parking Lot.

That's exactly how our order is working out. Ordered in May, unit ready for FPU on 10/1 - though we won't make it there until the following week.

So looks like a 5 month lead time from order to earliest possible delivery. Not too bad imo.
