Our newmar experience started a little over five years ago. We purchased our 2005 4304 MADP in may of 2005 and so far we are very happy with it. We had our fair share of issues in the first two years that we owned it. The biggest issue was with a preheat hose that ran from the Hydro Hot to the side of the motor. As it turned out the hose was defective and after failing on us three times I finally convinced Newmar to replace the hose from the engine to the Hydro Hot unit. Even though we had to be towed twice we were lucky that it blew at the engine and not inside the underbelly of the coach as the fluid that runs through this hose is engine antifreeze and when the hose fails antifreeze blows out of the back of the coach and covers anyone that mat be within 50 yards of the coach. So if anyone reading this post happened to be behind a coach and got covered with antifreeze, Sorry!

Another issue we had was with the automatic slide locks. We had a heck of a time with the slide out locks on the large galley slide. There are proximity switches in the slide mechanism that actuate the slide out locks when the slide closes but for whatever reason our would not stay in adjustment which intern would not allow the locks to actuate. After a trip to the Newmar factory and three trips to Independence RV in Winter Garden Florida we finally got things to work. And of course we had a slew of little issues which after a while got to the point that everytime I started the coach I wondered what was going to happen next. It seemed like for the first two years the only trips we took were to the dealer or the newmar factory. But eventually the little issues all get fixed. Just recently we had to have two of the recessed ceiling rope lights replaced. The lights themselves are not two expensive but the three hours of labor it takes to replace them will push the bill to over $500.00. Over all we really like our coach and if we did ever buy another coach it would be a Newmar. They still make one of the best coaches for the money and besides they are still in business.
