I have a 2002 35foot Dutch Star DP and want to take out the carpet in the front and replace it with tile. Any pointers on how to remove carpet and what else do I need to take out, like seat, couch or whatever. DW is tired of trying to keep up with the carpet with the grandkids.

"007" I might be looking in the wrong way but can't find any carpet removing projects. Maybe I just don't know how to look on the site or how to search it.

As we found, be sure to replace the slide out rollers. For carpeting they originally installed rubber rollers. These attract and hold dirt which scratches the new hard surface. We replaced ours with hard nylon rollers (currently used by Newmar for slides over hard surfaced floor on new coaches).

rvjimmy,

Before proceeding my first thought would be to determine if the extra weight will overload your front tires and/or axle.

Thanks for the input but I think I might go with some kind of free floating tile look alike flooring thanks. I might not get at it for a while as my planner is full.
