Anyone out there have a 2005 Dutch Star with the exterior entertainment center?? I am planning on putting one in. I was hoping someone could take a photo of a stock set up and/or custom.
specifically the TV mount (and what its mounted to) and electrical/satellite hook up.

Hi YoungDutch,
On my coach, the peg board was replaced with plywood and covered with felt. Once installed with brackets the plywood acts like any wall in a house. The mount is your choice. I installed an articulating mount. Consider this type of mount as the location of the entertainment center is at the rear edge of the awning. Being able to turn the TV as the sun comes over the awning is a good benefit to have.
The real challenge is if the coach is not pre-wired to the TV distribution box. If the pre-wiring is there the signal and power are easy to install. If not, I do not know how one would get the signal wire to the TV distribution box.

If I remember correctly, there was a 120VAC outlet and a TV coax outlet in the basement next to the "Entertainment center". You can also make use of the coax in the electrical compartment that goes all the way to the overhead cabinet. You will need to buy one of the new skinny LED LCD TV's and use a "flat folding" heavy duty mounting arm.

Couple photos of the setup that Newmar installed about a year ago. I had the pegboard and power already prewired into the space.

Im new to the system..the last post was for "Washbob"...
But since I'm here...
"GaryKD"..did you use the aluminum "L" brackets that the peg board was attached to or did you have to fabricate new ones?? I believe that I'm pre-wired with power and signal..What size/brand TV do you have/recommend??

The peg board would not be solid enough to mount on. They replaced my peg board with what I assume was plywood covered with a felt material. The mounting bracket appears to be a normal articulating one. The television was a 32" Sony LCD. They then used some type of solid material to build the outer shell, so the TV is somewhat recessed and the speakers & radio are mounted in it.

The bracket is articulating but not a standard one-it is heavy duty(got ours from Newmar). Don't forget the rubber stops(Ebberhard #775)!

If the power and antenna connections are available and you are somewhat handy it should be a rather simple project. You remove the pegboard and replace it with some plywood with the covering of your choice. Cut out for a 12 volt radio and speakers. Then find a mount and a tv and put it all together. The hard part will be deciding on a tv.

Hi YoungDutch,
The aluminum brackets are fine for mounting the TV. They may or may not need to be moved. It depends on the TV mount and the thickness of the TV. I did not need to move my brackets. Like posted earlier, a 37" TV will fit. This is what I installed. All I wanted was the TV. I did not install a radio or additional speakers.

When you added the cloth covered plywood back board what did you use to support the board to compartment sidewalls, with metal angle irons?
Did you need any additional support behind plywood where LCD mounting bracket is mounted?
