Outside Air Temp. probe F53

Man it was hot today Anyway I have figured out that the actual temperature and that showing on the dash is off by several degrees. That being that the dash temp. is reading higher than the outside air (I think?) Not a big deal. But while running the genny to power ONE a/c unit it shut down twice and a little research done right here indicated it was a over heat condition. Apparently a 105 degree or higher reading can shut it down? Well according to todays reading it did get to 110 or did it? Depending on where the actual probe is located on the rig....maybe? Anyone know??

I know where the temp probe is located on my Itasca but Newmar may locate it somewhere else. Mine is mounted on a support member behind the front grill, a bit off-center toward the driver's side.

Don't forget, a generator's output is downgraded for every 10 degree rise in temps and for every 1000 ft rise in elevation. Had to re-read my manual a couple of weeks ago as a refresher (my generator fuse kept tripping in 105F temps and up at 6,000-7,000 ft elevation.

Was just on my way over to the F-53 forum to ask, when I spotted this thread. My instrument panel thermometer said 109° this afternoon while other thermometers were indicating 91°. Anyone know where the probe is located on our new Bay Star?

Generator kept chugging away running two A/Cs w/o any shutdowns. That after I set the mixture adjustment for CO instead of IN or wherever Onans come from.
