This is a follow up to my problems with the outside step.
The first things that I did was making sure that I had a good ground. Then I followed up with measuring for adequate voltage going to the steps, resistance tests, and electrical tests of the Control Box and the switches.
I isolated the problem to the DC Motor which had to be taken out for further inspection. Upon opening the DC Motor Gear Box, I noticed that the three clear plastic bushings were no longer forming a cylinder but were worn out quite a bit on 2/3 of its surface.
I checked on eBay for a replacement DC Motors and found a brand new Stromberg Carlson Motorhome Entry Step Motor for $74.00 including shipping.
This replacement should arrive in the next 2 days and solve my problem.
I would like to thank everyone who provided assistance in solving my problem.
Gaetan
