Overall length of 2020 Dutch Star 4081
So, it seems to be hard to find the exact dimension specs for 2020 DS 4081. Not really jumping out at me looking around interweb. I want to know how big a garage you would need for the 40 footer. Thanks.

I have a 40 ft. Ventana and I made my garage 50 ft long. This way I can open the generator and engine bay hoods at the same time and still have about 1 1/2 to 2 foot clearance. I made the garage 20 ft wide with a 14 x 12 foot garage door with a normal 36 inch entrance door. I should have made the garage door 14 x 14 at a minimum.

I would suspect that all the 2020 DSDPs should have the same dimensions. The 2019-2020 brochures show 40'9". I think the previous info is pretty good advice.
BTW...you want to keep in mind that your tow bar will add a little bit to the overall length but I think that will be less than 18" but maybe even less than 12". You'll want that for your future toad.

50 foot minimum, that way if you go to sell your house, any motorhome will fit with room front and rear. I have a 44’8” inch garage and a 43’11” motorhome [emoji51]

I am thinking already built construction and what is the minimum I can get away with on a 40 footer? Not a new design and build. Sorry, I should have been more specific.

Take it from someone with only inches to spare to shut my door
Motor home 40 10”. Plus a bike rack of tow bar
Minimum 44 feet.
A lot of builders don’t get RV’s, for instance when you back in you should not end up with your entrance door facing the wall, depending on what side of the house the garage is on this will very.

What I was trying to say earlier is, if there are two houses you like and one has a garage more then 46 feet, in my opinion it may have better resale because any motor home will fit. Bigger is a trend and RV parks are gearing up for big Riggs.

ok, I get that. I just needed to know what the absolute minimum would be. I need a finite cutoff length for pre-built house. Where any shorter and it would not fit. There must be finite numbers, not pie in the sky, wishing type numbers. That is all I was looking for.

Recently we were looking in Idaho at a retirement house, I would not get a garage les then 50 feet for me with a 44 foot motor home, so my thought with a 41 foot MH would be at least 45“ and considering resale a minimum of 47’ If you end up with a tight fit I can share my secrets with you on making it fit.
