Padded head board removal '99 DS

MY DW, wants to re-upholster the padded head board, on our , 99 DS, no bedroom slide.
Anyone out there had one off ? Looks to me like the headboard is mounted to the mirror frame then the, mirror & frame & headboard, are mounted to the wall, as an assembly and the mount screws covered over. Any advice before I end up in the dog house for breaking something .

Woodworks not my thing, I'd rather take the engine apart, than do woodwork.

I would call Newmar with your coach build number or Vin# and ask them for advise on how to remove the headboard.
Sometimes they are held by industrial Velcro but they may have hidden screws under fabric also.

After the DW, threatened to with hold .... lunch, ( what did you think I was going to say. ) I got out to the coach , and wiggled things around , pulled back all the pleats and found the mount screws.

Hint do not drive the coach with the head board removed. The screws are long enough, I think they hold the tail lights on too.
